About Treatment and Recovery.
To reduce the use of drugs and alcohol in the community by encouraging healthy decision making in our youth and providing resources that address prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery throughout the life span.
To reduce substance abuse disorder in the town of Canton.
The Canton Alliance Against Substance Abuse (CAASA) was established in 2013 to address youth substance use. CAASA consists of a diverse representation of invested community partners who are representatives from Public Health, the Schools, Fire Rescue, Police, Parks and Recreation, Norfolk County DA’s office, students, clinicians, and parents. Our collaboration allows for a 360 degree perspective on the issues affecting Canton and how best to address them.
Free resources are available with support from the Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s Office. Kits are available from Parks and Recreation, Police, and Fire Departments. If you are a Canton resident, you can order a kit and have it mailed to your home.
CAASA is authorized to accept grants or gifts from the Federal Government, from a charitable corporation, from a private corporation, or from an individual. Funds received shall be deposited with the Town Treasurer and held as a separate account.
Donations can be made in the form of a check made out to Town of Canton.
The Board of Selectmen accepts donations publicly at their meetings. Please notify us when making a donation if you would like to be named as an anonymous donor.
